I created this logo as part of an online logo design contest. The product was an online auction assistant to help users manage their bids. Details were vague, but I gave it a shot.
Originally, I made the bid card larger and used it as an icon of sorts. Since the product was fairly new I decided to place more importance on the name and use the bid card graphic as an accent. The client liked it but requested to see it in multiple color schemes. I worked up about a dozen alternate color mockups until the original color scheme I presented was chosen.
The final logo shown here is what the client picked as the winning entry.
